Multimedia Submission & Review Process

International Medicine encourages the inclusion of multimedia content to enhance scientific communication and improve reader engagement. Authors may submit relevant multimedia materials (videos, animations, infographics, audio, or interactive datasets) alongside their manuscripts.

Accepted Multimedia Types

  • Video: Demonstrations, case procedures, surgical techniques, lab protocols (MP4 preferred)

  • Audio: Interviews, expert commentary, podcasts (MP3 or WAV)

  • Infographics & Visuals: Diagrams, illustrations, data visualizations (JPEG, PNG, SVG)

  • Slide Decks: Educational presentations (PDF or PPT)

  • Interactive Content: Web-based tools, dashboards (hosted externally or embedded via iframe link)

Submission Guidelines

  1. Include a Multimedia Caption: A brief (50–100 words) description must accompany each file.

  2. Naming Convention: Files should be named with the manuscript ID and type (e.g., “IMJ2025-003_video1.mp4”).

  3. File Size Limit: Maximum 100 MB per file. Larger files must be uploaded via a file-sharing link (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox).

  4. Permissions: Authors must confirm that all individuals featured in multimedia materials have given consent for publication.

  5. Technical Quality: Multimedia must be of high resolution and clear audio/visual quality. Poor-quality submissions may be rejected.

Review and Publication

  • Multimedia content is subject to peer review alongside the manuscript.

  • Editors may request modifications or clarifications to ensure scientific accuracy and ethical compliance.

  • Upon acceptance, multimedia will be hosted on the journal website and linked within the article.

Ethical & Copyright Considerations

  • Authors are responsible for securing copyright permissions and patient consent where applicable.

  • All submitted content must adhere to the journal’s ethical publishing standards.
