For Journal Articles

Format: Author(s). “Title of the Article.” Title of Journal, vol. number, no. number, year, pp. page range. DOI or URL (if available).

Example:Gunes, Serkan. “Trends in Child Psychiatry During the Pandemic.” International Medicine, vol. 5, no. 2, 2025, pp. 123–130. https://theinternationalmedicine.com/article/12345


For Books

Format:Author(s). Title of Book. Publisher, Year.

Example:Kaplan, Robert M. Health Psychology. McGraw-Hill Education, 2013.


For Book Chapters

Format:Author(s). “Title of Chapter.” Title of Book, edited by Editor(s), Publisher, Year, pp. page range.

Example:Singh, Ramesh. “Pediatric Sleep Disorders.” Advances in Child Psychiatry, edited by Anita Das, Springer, 2021, pp. 75–91.


For Webpages

Format:Author(s). “Title of Webpage.” Website Name, Publisher (if different from website name), Date of Publication, URL. Accessed Day Month Year.

Example:World Health Organization. “Mental Health and COVID-19.” WHO, 10 Jan. 2024, https://www.who.int/news-room/mental-health-covid19. Accessed 29 May 2025.

  • List authors by full name as they appear.

  • Use italics for journal and book titles.

  • Use quotation marks for article and chapter titles.

  • Include a DOI or a stable URL if available.

  • Use “Accessed” date only for sources that are likely to change over time (especially webpages).
